Introducing Myself: A Glimpse into Wedding Photography
Welcome to the vibrant world of wedding photography! I’m Miguel Martinez, a dedicated wedding photographer based in South Jersey. Over the past eight years, I've had the privilege of documenting the beautiful love stories of couples on their most special day. I am originally from the Dominican Republic, but South Jersey has been my home for the past 14 years.
My journey into photography began during my formative high school years. Equipped with my very first camera, a thoughtful gift from my parents when I turned 15 years old, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and exploration. Through countless hours of trial and error, I familiarized myself with the technicalities of photography, mastering the nuances of light, composition, and perspective. It was during this time that I first discovered the captivating art of capturing moments through a lens. Photography quickly evolved from a mere hobby to an all-consuming passion, sparking within me a desire to pursue it as a lifelong career. As I delved deeper into the world of photography, I found myself drawn to the powerful art of storytelling – and what better medium to tell stories than through the lens of a camera? This passion led me to pursue a degree in journalism in college, with the intention of honing my skills in photojournalism. My college years at Rowan University provided me with the perfect platform to refine my storytelling abilities and further hone my craft. It was during this transformative period that I realized my true calling lies in immortalizing the timeless moments of weddings.
What I cherish most about being a wedding photographer is the privilege of capturing the raw emotions and genuine moments of joy that unfold on a couple's special day. There's something truly magical about witnessing two individuals profess their love and commitment to each other surrounded by their loved ones.
